Hello

I've been creating websites professionally since 2005 and currently work for a design studio in the North East of England.

Creating websites started off as a hobby in 1999, when a friend started creating a homepage about themselves in Microsoft FrontPage and I had to have one too. As I didn't have a copy of FrontPage I looked on the internet to see if there were other ways of building sites, which is how I met HTML. My first site was created in notepad and was bright yellow and pink, with lots of animated gifs, scrolling marquees and even had a midi in playing in the background. While it was no way the prettiest site it did help me discover a love for coding sites.

I graduated from university with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Graphic Design, as well as a foundation degree in Multimedia Design. Both of which enabled me to explore many processes and disciplines within many areas of design. I like to think that my degree and commercial experience in graphic design has enabled me to create websites that look pretty, while my coding experience and knowledge ensures that they are also functional and user friendly.

Since I started designing things I've been lucky enough to do design work for companies such as Sony, Interflora and Rolls Royce and a lot of other amazing companies and people. Also some of my work has been published in books and magazines as well as being featured in various online articles, galleries and showcases.
